20W50 petroleum oil is better for older engines in the heat. 10W40 should not be a problem. Switch to synthetic and forget about temperature range. Run 10W40 synthetic all year


am confused that so many stores only carry 10-40 weights
and my manual says 20-50 is needed at temperatures over
90 degrees (F). and its hard to buy 20-50 in a lot of
brands.
