I have some spray teflon stuff I used to use on bicycle cables. I just stick the sprayer in one end and spray away, making sure I don't get too much dripping on the other side. On the other hand, when my S/R started groaning, it was the tracks, so a quick lube of them relieved me of that. Good Luck!
