need help...my gear shifter fell off... (archive)

I was putting the car into drive from park, and the handle with the button underneath came off. Now I can't get the car into reverse or park. I think a few things came off, but I'm not sure where they fell (pins?). Any ideas on how to fix this? Do I need to buy new parts?
