86 528EA - Just finished installing a 3.46 differential from a 88EA- This is a big improvment. The car now functions more like a BMW. I don't feel like I am towing something up a hill all the time, but it is still not like the 85 535I that I owned years ago. My question is to those that have chipped their cars. Is it worth it? I have checked the archives on this board and some say yes and some say it depends on what chip is used. Others say it is a waste on money. Any suggestions....Is the increase in power due soley to the higher red line or is there a real difference in ignition timing, fuel delivery etc.
