I'm using this radio in my E28. It works with the Pioneer CDX-M30 changer. The other two connections are for continuous 12v for memory power, and a connection from the dash lights so the dimmer works the radio lights, IIRC. As for the speakers, this radio has (4) outputs to control (4) spkrs. Your original radio has (2) outputs and an external fader for front/rear control. Best solution is to disconnect spkrs from fader switch and hook up to new radio. These Blaupunkt style connectors are available at most good car audio shops. Alternative is to plug existing wires into front output and make sure fader is set to full front at all times. Paul Shovestul
Anybody know how to wire a cd ready stock BMW radio unit KE-83 to an e28? The IGN, GND, and PWRANT connectors are the same, but the speaker connections are slightly different and the other power connection is alltogether different. I have seen this unit in an e28 and am hoping someone has BTDT.
