I think with the 6X14 bottlecaps and 196/70 rubber your brakes are probably fine with a set of Metal Master pads at 528e speeds.

If you install more rubber, more brakes could definitely help. If you want to remain "stoc" appearing as a "Q" ship, you can install the
6 1/2X14 wheels used on 1984 633CSi (before the TRXs) or a set of bottlecap TRX wheels/tires that look very close to the stock 6X14, all teh criticism of TRX notwithstanding.

The 6.5X14 will take 215/60-14 tires, which are a definite improvement over the 195/70s.

Has anyone put a Korman chip in their 1983 528eA? With 14 inch bottle caps what kind of brake upgrade can i do? 750iL rotors, stainless lines? Thanks alot.
