the electric fan wasn't working in the first place... that's why I took it off. There's no fan shroud on the car, never was since I've owned it. The fan clutch works right, and in normal driving I can tell where the thermostat opens and closes as well as where the clutch engages and disengages. The boat is 2000 pounds and the hill is an 8% grade. the car is bone stock with 230k miles.I did try to sell the car and buy an old truck for this... but noone seemed interested in buying a high miles bimmer... so I'm making due with what I have ;-)
WELL, first off, put back on the electric fan stuff and make sure it works RIGHT. 2nd, does the fan clutch on the engine mounted fan work right and do you have a fan shroud ( not sure if spelled right). 3rd how heavy was teh baot and trailer as you KNOW the m20 engine was not the strongest in that base version. Have you made any mods to the engine?
