If you are looking for a mild upgrade the E-28 535i rotors are thicker for better fade resistance, you will need new calipers too but they should be avilable used at a reasonable price I would think. They will work with your current wheels, I've put 225/60-14 tires on 14x6 wheels and a friend put 245's on 6" wheels but that was pushing it and probably loosing more than he gained.
