Thanks for all of your thoughts guys on the shimmy sources! I'm having the shimmy both with and without braking. So, it looks like I'm due for rotors up front and pads anyway.
I'll print out all of this and start problemsolving. I'll start with the easy stuff first and work my way up towar the harder and more expensive stuff. I agree this could drive a guy nucking futs!
Will mark my tires with chalk or something else and see if the the guy with the fancy Hunter spin balancer actually breaks the seals on the tires. Good idea! Thanks...this will be the first thing I do.
Second...will follow Bob's advice re: the UPPER control arm bushings...go back with polyeurothayne (sp?). Who makes the ones that I should use? I've seen them at BMP and BavAuto. Which ones are better OR are others better?
So, do the M5 guys have these problems Bob? Do M5s wear out suspension parts quicker than the 'is? If not, perhaps I should upgrade to M5 parts since I'm running e28 M5 wheels.
