When I bought my '88 it had a serious shimmy at 35-40 mph when braking. The PO had had it diagnosed at the dealer as thrust arms, and had bought these, then lost interest in working on it (his son's car). I had them installed by a local independent who told me I also had warped rotors, but that the thrust arms had reduced, but not eliminated the shimmy. It was a significant improvement, virtually gone, but it reappeared a few months down the road at 55-60 mph when braking. I swapped the rotors from my parts car, and the shimmy disappeared. The only noticable warpage was a raised ring on the inside passenger side rotor.

Hope this is helpful...

Rex
