Hi I've been trying to sell my 86 535i. I started with a 2900 OBO asking price. I ran into a few problems recently. First there was a problem with the way the engine was running (believe now it's the vacuum because MPG is moving at idle). I took it in and had mechanic tell me the front ball joints are bad and the rear axle bushing is also bad. He wouldn't work on the first problem til those were done. I took the car and dropped the price to $2300 OBO. The teeth on the starter (or flywheel) had been slipping for a while. I believe that problem has gotton to where it will no longer start until it's fixed. I still want to sell this car, but I don't plan to put anymore money into it. It's white with blue velour interior. 170k miles. Automatic. All power options work. I was wondering if anyone here was interested in this car or knew someone that was. I'm 40 miles west of Detroit. I really want to get something for this car rather then donate it and see what I get from taxes. Any reasonable offer will be accepted.
