The eta IS a fuel saver, and the engine DOES make good torque, but poor habits can screw up even a good thing if they try hard enough!

Driven properly, the eta is a very durable engine.

because it "develops high torque at low engine speeds" (from the manual)

I don't know what a connecting rod bearing is but it sounds like something attached to a piston, so it probably wouldn't be good if it failed eh?
