Sounds like you've got a high resistance in the circuit somewhere.
Does your fresh air blower work? If it does, the problem is probably one of the following:
- The A/C switch connector (specifically, the THICK green & yellow wire, not the thin one). Try reseating the connector.
- The connector to the motor. It's got 6 pins, arranged 2-by-3. The wire from the motor is blue, and this connector changes it to the thick green and yellow wire mentioned above. When the motor is on, these wires should have 12 volts relative to ground. Again, try reseating the connector.
- The A/C switch itself. When the A/C is on, the switch should short the green & brown wire to the thick green and yellow wire. I've had this switch fail on me. I dismantled, cleaned, and reassembled it, and all was well. Beware, though, that there are little tiny spring loaded parts in there that WILL instantly absquatulate if you aren't careful as you dismantle the switch.
Hello all here is a up date please help i'm getting voltage to the plug for the ac blower motor but when i turn on motor i get nothing. i hooked 12 volts directly to the motor and the motor spins what else should i look for? Thanks in advance ~JOHN BANNER~ in florida where its hot and ac is broke :(
