and the AC switch depressed there should be 12v at the Blue wire on the AC fan. The other fan wire, brown/black goes thru the blower resistor pack and the fan switch to ground. If you have the 12v then trace the brown/black wire back and look for the open circuit to ground. Not sure what car you have, this is for my '83 533i. I suspect all E28's are similar.

Hello all here is a up date please help i'm getting voltage to the plug for the ac blower motor but when i turn on motor i get nothing. i hooked 12 volts directly to the motor and the motor spins what else should i look for? Thanks in advance ~JOHN BANNER~ in florida where its hot and ac is broke :(
