HELP with carrier bushings install... (archive)

I am in the middle of pull out the old axle carrier bushings and replacing them as well as new struts at the same time.

Can anyone tell me which way the bushings go back in. Is the heaviest part of the rubber to go inline with the line (front to back), side to side or diagonal?

I have all of the bolts out of the rear shocks yet they won't come out (broken a pry bar already) If you know of a trick or hint please let me know.

Thanks

James
