Done. Happy. tired. bloody fingers, sore back. dash= 8hours, bomb= who knows, made some dumb mistakes, lost a bushing for an hour somewhere beneath the motor, etc. So I will have web tutorials up on both procedures w/in the next week or so, so my (and my family's) suffering will not have been in vain. For all of the pitas, you really have to appreciate the incredibly robust engineering that went into these cars. The whole dash assembly is quite a masterpiece, went back together miraculously well, haven't heard nary a squeak or rattle, and everything works (knock on wood). no screws left over, none missing, nothing broke. Hmm, what's next - new front spoiler???

humbly, w/ Spaten in hand
