It's a 1985 Mercedes 500 SEL. OK, so it's not a 5er or even a BMW, but it's a BIG boat of a luxury car. I need to sell it so that my dad can get a new 540i sport. It has about 160K on it. It's blue/gray leather, recent phenominal paint job paid for by insurance company after a wreched keying. Engine runs very smoothly, the big V8 will pull endlessly. Interior is in fantastic condition, the little trim peices like the wood on the dash and the vinyl covering on the b-pillar seem to be the only things sub-perfect. It has wheels from a '86 560SEL and a "560 SEL" badge on the trunk, both placed there by the P.O. (I would NEVER badge my car as something other than what it is!! ;) ) It has a small dent on the driver's side front quarter panel near the door. Put there, I believe, by a very inconsiderate anonymous driver in a parking lot. Hardly noticeable, it didn't brake the paint. My father and I are very good about taking care of our cars, and that shows in this one: Oil evry 3K, coolant/brake flush every year, etc... I would like to see this fantastic car get a good home, like one of you guys, rather than just post it up on autotrader. Let me know on here or by e-mail if you have any questions.
