I have done this on a 83 533i. You will need to get as much of the donor seat wiring harness as possible. Also, get the center console with the seat switches. I ran a separate fused wire off the battery and connected it to the donor seat wiring. It worked great. The 535i seats are more comfortable than the 533i's. Make certain the power seats are workig before you install them - they are quite heavy!!!
