Blowing fuse 12 when I hit the brake..... (archive)

This is a repost from a few days ago. I've cleaned the battery posts, and all brake light sockets are clean. Do I just need to rewire the radio power? Has anyone done this using the cigar lighter? After I drive for a while, I'll hit the brake and lose the radio, brake lights, OBC display light, speedometer, and mpg gauge. Tonight it was fine after I cleaned the battery posts, and didn't use the radio, or lights. Then going home in the rain, with lights, I hit the brake once and lost everthing I mentioned above. What's the deal? Any advice would help. Thanks!
