Marteen K. - '87 Cirrus Blau with Metric Mechanic motor that sounds so dadgummed alluring. Oh, it looks pretty good with those 5 spoke wheels as well.
Peter C. - '82 533i with a 3.5L tucked under the hood. High mileage but well loved and tended to. Peter's on the prowl for a new 535is, so we'll keep our ears to the ground.
Chris A. - Guys, I have never seen or heard a Neutron Stereo System with a black 535i wrapped around it. Those M5 wheels, Momo wheel, shifter and pedals just iced the cake.
Steve M. - When a Hartge H5S shows up you hear it first and then see it stealth its way into the parking lot. I have a real soft spot for those 11-12 spoke Hartge wheels, the spoiler and the Euro motor. The car looks fast just SITTING there!
Clayton C. - Well I'm a bit biased here since Clay is my son and I've got a bad case of Bimmer envy. His LachSilber 535is and Mille 5 spokes with Dinan lowered suspension is my idea of a "TiefStapler". The kid had a great time since I took him to and from the meeting location via the " the long route". He is getting the hang of running up and down the gear box and today was good practice for him. I tried to get behind him every chance I could to admire the phatness (that's cool in today parlance) of the car.
My Car - Well, let's just say I was in good company today. Nuff Said!
Oh, Jim D. thanks for stopping out with your bride. Glad to have met you!
Marteen, Clayton, Peter, Chris, Steve thanks for coming out. And to all the DFW E28 SIG members who couldn't be with us, we missed you but we'll do it again soon. Richard in Houston, let's start talking about a day in early November when we can all take a day trip down to your part of the world and spend a few hours with you and Duke slobbering over his car. Maybe we should find a Park nearby your place of Duke's to meet and greet.
BTW, I'll get the pics of our get together
posted soon.
