This post has got to be a JOKE! Brad has been very helpful to all of us on this board and I frequent his sight all the time. So what if he doesn't own a 535is. Just because he owns the slower version of an e28 does not mean that his e28 is any less special than the next. And I am sorry to say but even the 535i is not THAT fast. Give it rest man Brad is just providing something for everyone to use and what have you provided for all of us slow e28 owners. Besides your meaningless TWO CENTS!!!
I own both the 528e auto and a 535is 5sp that I have POURED a lot of money into. And I will probably start POURING a ton of money in to the 528e also. And since I own both of these cars I can say that yes the 528e is slower like we all know but it is still a damn nice car. ESPECIALLY WITH AN AUTO. I love driving the auto when I am being lazy. So what if it does not have the get up and go. It is still a BMW and it is still an e28!!!!!

Hey Brad,

Please don't take offense at this post, but why on earth did you buy a 528e and pour a lot of money into it? In my area I've seen automatic 83 633CSi's with Fillipaldi wheels, complete ground effects, and chips, you name it, with 150,000 miles, and yet they will not sell for even $3,500.
You must know that cars are among the worst investments on the planet, so why would you pick a 528e of all the cars, especially with an automatic (manuals seem to be worth a lot more in my area 'cause no one wants an enthusiast car that shifts by itself)?
How much money have you poured into your car? Do you ever plan on selling it? I doubt you'd get a decent price for it with roughly 225,000 miles...and remember it's no 535i or M5, and it's an automatic. On top of that, I hope you're engine and tranny are good because what would you do if something were to go wrong with a major component? You'd have to invest MORE money into the Power Wheels mobile.
Furthermore, I hope you don't ever drive people in the back seat of your car because your CD changer will definitely get ruined somehow if you do. I know the the back of my car is not a safe place for an expensive CD changer with my friends back there.
About the website, I think it's pretty cool...the links and gallery are awesome, but don't we all, except for the blond women here(kidding), know how to change hood shocks? And the door sills/interior trim bit is also quite simple as long as you have a few brain cells, and I'm not even going to mention the FAQ on removing the seat. Also, the extra brake light trick can be done in a simpler way as well. I mean, why not have more important FAQ's like OBC light replacement by saudering in a new light, or adding rear headrests, or how about a tech tip on fixing idle problems, or relocating the battery to the trunk?
All in all, why add 16" rims, an IS spoiler, Euro lights, a Valentine 1(hardwired), a CD changer, a new reciever, a new differential, and loads of TIME to a 528e which isn't even a fast car? I'd rather drive a stock 535is than a Goofy lookin' "Euro" 528e with an automatic anyday. Why make a slow car just look like a fast car? Why not just buy a stock fast car? I only understand the better MPG factor. Besides that, I do NOT understand your, or anyone else's, logic at all.

P.S. - I have driven an automatic 528e before. I feel your pain. BTW, sorry for being an ass too. I'm just really not understanding any of this jibba jabba.
