You can buy a regular 17mm allen wrench at sears and cut off the shorter end so that it fits properly in the space between the filler cap and the inside of the car transmission tunnel. Attach a length of pipe to the end of the allen wrench, and if possible get a helper to keep the wrench pressed against the filler cap while you torque it. I know this from experience.



I need to check the gear oil in my 83 528e 5 speed but i cant find a tool big enough to get the drain plug out any ideas?
