Hey Brad,

Thanks. I wasn't trying to troll or cause trouble...honestly. Here's where I was coming from...my mother is an investment broker/ underwriter who drives a Honda Accord, she doesn't put one dime that doesn't need to go into that car into it. My dad is the same way. He owns a Chevy Blazer with a NRA sticker proudly on it. He doesn't even clean his car(ever!)...nevermind replace the rear speaker that doesn't work.
I was brought up in this sense: Cars are BAD investments....yet even I put money into my car...like spending $40 for a nuclear-welded cup holder from BavAuto, which really makes my whole dashboard look stupid--yet it is functional.
I understand why you wouldn't sell your car now, and why you add parts and products to it. And I understand why you came off so defensively. Obviously you care a lot about your car...I did about my last 535i when it got totalled by a drunk driver.
About the CD player, I guess if you threaten your friends often enough they'd respect it...not to mention what a thief would do if he saw it. Personally, I'd rather walk out in the rain, which I do anyhow.
About the rear headrests, you can usually find them in a E23 at a junk yard...I was quoted only $40 for two incl. parts. You just gotta look around a bit.
I suppose the obvious FAQs are good for the blondes anyhow.
Anyhow, I understand where you're coming from about just having a nice car. Personally, I like a little extra power first while the nice part comes second (not that that matters), and no my car isn't white trash or anything like that, hah. And no I'm not the same guy who ragged on Pierre or Josh...search the archives...you'll find my name about...and I do have a valid email address as well.
Anyhow, sorry about the remarks. I didn't really mean to start a feud. Perhaps when I'm older, and desire a cruiser and not a sports sedan I'll appreciate econ-lux cars, but until then I'll start respecting yours...and anyone else's for that matter....as long as it where's a shiny nice roundel.
