I am here in Bloomington,IN and came acrros this 535, arctic blue with blue sport seats. TRX's worn on the inside on the rear, and wouldn't start. After a good look in the archives and some creative jumper wires, I traced it down to an OBC relay. It wasn't there! Subbed a fog lamp relay, and it fired right up. No smoke, and the idle was great, but a little low for having not run for so long.
Out on the road, the dreaded center bearing shows itself to be on the way out. Problem is, Rockymountain motorworks is out of stock til november, and there is only one BMW dealer in Indy. I can't readily ID any BMW parts supplier around. Soo....
Does any one know of a source for a center bearing around Indianapolis? Anyone have some giveaway, or cheap trx's in Central Indiana?
We want to pick this car up for $850.00 on Tuesday, and I have to head back to San Diego on Thursday, so I would like to get this done very soon.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.
Dave (usually in San Diego, in Bloomington.)
