you might want to mention that sometimes all you need is the o-ring.

Also, rather than a few bucks for mom's turkey baster, a two foot piece of clear aquarium hose - the one you use to bleed your brakes with - will siphon the fluid reservoir nicely. I have a big syringe (3/4 inch diameter) that has come in handy lotsa times, including when it was used on me.
