If you didn't replace the radiator with your service, and it's old, it may have cracked the plastic radiator hose inlet. Remember, they're not that robust - not even new BMW ones like on E36 or so forth! Those go with less than 80k!

Also, you have to bleed the coolant system with the heater on full, and wait till the car gets to operating temp.

Earlier this week I "thought" I had finished my radiator project. I replaced the burst uppper hose and checked and replaced a few other worn parts. Followed the directions on bleeding the system and thought I had done it all correctly. Here's my question:

I took it out for its first spin since finishing (to the store). Only went about 2 miles or so. When I came out I noticed that it was dripping some antifreeze and when I got closer I could hear "boiling" noises coming from the radiator. What does this mean, what didn't I do, what should I do now? TIA
