I've always had good success with Permatex "Ultra Copper" sealant, oil resistant & no leaks after many years.

I got the old bashed pan off with relatively few bashed nuckles, I am waiting arrival on a new pan, oil level sender and oil pan gasket.

Bentley says to use a gasket sealer...Brett Anderson has posted not to use any additional sealer. Any thoughts? I don't want to do this job again for a while!
