make sure that the engine is set to exactly TDC and the cam is likewise set when you lower it into pos'n.

Set the #1 valve lobes symetrically up.

I will be reinstalling a rebuilt head next weekend, would love to hear any pitfalls/tips for the procedure from the wise members of the board.
