Well Teak, Jim Rowe's certainly a prince of a guy. Gosh, he answers the phone most of the time and has some pretty interesting things to say. I've got his 3900 HiFlo Sport engine and it's all he says it is. Mine has an M crank and a 95mm bore, which calculates out to some 3850cc. It's a monster disguised as a sweetheart. Docile as a lamb around town and some kind of strong beginning at about 4000rpm. It's quite comfortable at 6000rpm in any gear. That means you can shift out of 4th at 140mph at just a fudge over 6 grand, then see as much of the speedo as you have courage for. My '88 535 is really a sleeper. There've been a few surprised faces when they get to see the taillights. Clearly, I have nothing but good things to say about Jim Rowe and Metric Mechanic. Be sure and get the 3" exhaust system running off the 50mm euro downpipes.
