I have a heavy throttle or no throttle whir from what sounds like the rear of my tranny (85 Alpina B7 turbo). Is there a bearing in these trannies that is a weak link and can it be replaced with out opening the whole tranny...that is from the back of the case? The rest of the tranny seems ok so I don't want to replace it just yet

GUYS...
Noises travel in the driveline, and either or both of you may be lucky enough to just have a bad center support bearing,or possibly a worn driveshaft...check it out. Bob G.
