For what it's worth, here is the one hit you got: Help!! major clutch problem.... (archive). It has a response that may help you.

Ok, try this one for me. Search the archives with the string "soft clutch pedal". When I do it, both IExplorer and Netscape lock up - it seems like I'm loading and loading and loading. . . I have to cntrl-alt-del out of the browser. I've got a reasonably fast computer with a cable modem connection, and nothing else crashes my computer like this, even other archive searches.

How weird. Anyone else want to give it a go??
