that is strange. afaik, there is a microswitch in the lock acutator that triggers the locking system when the rod passes it either moving up or down (as the key is turned). Pushing the button shouldn't move the rod up or down at all, unless somehow it has become shortened/bent or is catching on something.... have you looked in there and watched what happens when you press the button? the rod that is attached to the back of the button has a hook on the end that hooks into the end of the acutator rod, and normally just flexes freely when the button is pressed, hence it doesn't pull on the acutator. Just look in there and see what is going on. The other possibility would be that the switch is screwed up somehow, but to fix that you will have to crack open the acutator.

Sometimes when I operate the pushbutton to open the trunk (i.e. when the car is already unlocked) the central locking is triggered. The trunk lid opens but all the doors lock.

I've checked the earths in the trunk but it still happens - not every time. Anybody out there had this problem and got a fix for it?

Thanks in anticipation....Steve
