Recently upgraded stock 14" wheels to 16" on 1985 E28. Didn't have shimmy problem before but now have it. The shimmy only occurs at 35 to 40 MPH . The wheels were rebalanced and the effect was lessen some but still occurs. No shimmy while braking , ant ideas as I have searched the archive and all speaks to the braking problem but mine doesn't have that .
