Here's the deal:

I ordered new springs because mine were from a 535i (i've installed an "is" spoiler) and although the lid would stay open, it would fall unless you held it. After installing new springs the lid won't even stay up. Everything seemed to go in its proper place, and the springs were much harder to put in (I had to fight more torque).
What gives?

Thanks in advance,
Jan.

iirc, there are 2positions for the springs at the hinge. you need to increase the torsion,so you need to put the spring in the other one. be careful.
