well..pursuant to my previous post,..i tried the 2001 M3 wheel combo on my 5er......nope. definitely detracts from the classic styling.
i have found a set of 17" M5 (about a grand) wheels that i think would look great,...or am pondering the 17" millemiglia ll's from tirerack (cant beat the price..$169ea)
what would the board consider...?
i plan on using 235/45s front....255/40 rear...
#fender lips rolled already........ larger tires. Most E28's, except the "M" cars that have a different inner rear fender, don't clear a 255/40/17 well,if at all.If you're going to try,use front offset 13/15mm,and rear of 28mm/30mm.Depends on the width of the 17's.
Unless you're running close to 300hp,you simply don't need the 255/40's.Will slow the car down.235/45/17's are large enough to easily hold even most "M" cars, even modified.
