what's the procedure for a hot soak for an 87 535i. still hetting surging on acceleration after changing plugs,
cap and rotor. TIA.

A hot soak involves feeding injector cleaner through your fuel system expidtiously by utilizing the vaccum hose on your fuel pressure regulator. Disconnect the hose at the regulator end, while the car is warm, and place the suction end in a bottle of injector cleaner, preferably ventil sauber or sea foam. Then, constrict the end of the hose so it slowly feeds the injector cleaner into your manifold and on to your intake valves.

thanks. stupid question, but the car should be warm and running through all this, right?
