Hey Tristian:

Both models use the basic round 4 headlight setup. You can go to the store and buy a low or high beam and they are interchangeable to either. the style you speak of are probably Hella shells with replacement bulbs in them, They are ok, but I prefer a sealed beam becasue Both of them break and Sealed beams are cheaper. OH, Some e28's in european styles had larger low beams but I do not think it's what your talking about.
