What are experiences here w/eta motor and "i" head? Is low-end torque lost?

I don't know what it is about the eta engine, but it just didn't feel "right". A TDI VW diesel redlines at the same RPM, but the grunt is there. On the other hand, the eta motor revs up to 4k rpm, but the car doesn't feel like its being "pushed".

A turbo could really wake this thing up, since turbos are about torque.

Is the eta engine "fun" with the "i" head?

Cartech does sell a turbo exhaust manifold for the M20 engine, but its $700.

The cast crank, if its made any better than a Ford crank should live. Mustang people run 500hp on the 302 w/cast crank. Now that's scary! Also the '85 up Volvo 740 Turbo uses a cast crank.

Thanks,
Keith.
