I have a 1984 528e with about 135000 miles on it. It was recently rear ended and ever since then it hasnt been the same. The engine is still going strong but i appear to have a warped rotor and many other possible suspension problems. When stepping on the brakes at almost any speed the car steering wheel shakes violently and when slightly applying pressure to the brake pedal at about 5mph you can feel the brakes surging. Also when i go over about 55 the car begins to shake quite a lot. At all speeds it seems to float around while holding the steering wheel straight. Most of the doors do not close properly as the doorframes were bent in the accident. I will need to replace the rear quarter panel, and do a major interior overhaul. The central locking and cruise control no longer work, and i have never ending fuse problems. It has been a wonderful car to me and i thoroughly enjoy driving it but im sure it wont last much longer. If more e28s were available in my area i would just get a new one but that is not an option. If i get rid of this one i will need to find a new brand of car to drive. I was curious as to whether you guys think its worth the attempt to restore.. Thanks for your time...
Cole
