IMO, Yakima is better because of the available accessories, as well as the fact that the round bars can't be out of plane with each other as the square Thule can be. Think o o vs. / \ as an example of possible misalignment on a hypothetically super-curved roof.
Since I've gotten rid of my AMC Eagle Wagon, I've had to use the rack on my E28. I don't leave it up there full-time, however like I did on the Eagle.
It's been indispensable since I don't have a wagon any more and have used it for lumber (with the load stop accessory), wire shelving, and pipes.
I have a 1982 528e and i want a thule or yakima rack for it. I will be using it to carry my sailboard and bike ect. which brand is better for an e28 any one have a pic of their car with one of those brands?
thanks
