I am not familiar with Yakima. I bought a Thule rack to use with an 83 Audi. It adapted to my 86 528e very well. The only complaint I have is the noise from the wind vibration of the nylon straps. It was a very snug, easy to mount system, and is still in my attic. The BMW has become my commuter car, and I now have a truck for the other stuff.

I have a 1982 528e and i want a thule or yakima rack for it. I will be using it to carry my sailboard and bike ect. which brand is better for an e28 any one have a pic of their car with one of those brands?
thanks
Erik Carlson
