I'm thinking about installing better speakers and an amp. Under the back seat appears to be a common location. But what about cooling? Wouldn't it be prone to "cooking" without much airflow or volume? Would a smaller (200W total) amp under the back seat be alright?

Thanks,

Brandon

It's far safer to mount the amp onto the rear speaker shelf,up inside the trunk, and run lines back into the pass. compartment.
There it can cool properly. It's where BMW put their factory amp in the high power '86/88 cars.
