A new windshield cost me $278.00. I paid the $250 deductible, and the insurance company paid $28. The original windshield had been cracked by a rock from a gravel hauler on the local interstate.

That was 4 years ago. The replacement windshield is now very pitted, and could do with replacement. Someone on the E28 board has commented about these windshields being "soft."

Any others with this experience?
