My mechanic tells me that my fuse box is in bad shape. Appears melted to some degree. The car is running great. The only problem is the back windows don't operate. Other than that I haven't noticed any problems. What do you guys think? Do entire fuse boxes need to be replaced on these cars? TIA

.the fuses are a source of constant maintenance and trouble, especially the higher amp ckts. if you are handy with crimpon terminals. you can add in line fuse holders. i recommend aco type fuses. a-zone sells an add on fuse bloc. i used this and some 10 awg wire on my 86. Ed teller has a how to on his web page bimmerhelp.
