Yes, any rewsistance at the fuse contacts translate into heat that can melt the plastic in which the fuse contacts are held.

I, too, have a good used one if you desire. It's in my local Pick-A-Part in an '85 (that I've bought other parts for my car from). If you want it, I can pull it and send it. I think they want about $20 for such electrical parts.
