is mounted inside the Montronic ECU which resides above the glovebox on E28 5ers. The only Montronics that are really compatable with the US cars are the "green engined" or catalytic converor equiped E28s. The true Euro cars like Duke's don't have O2 sensors so the ECU is different.

Everytime I go through a car at the strip lot I see that little "Thing" thats mounted on the inner fender well in the area of the drivers side headlights. I finally asked somebody what that was. They said: It's "The Chip", and it determines engine performance, etc. Can you guys give me the scoop on these things? Are there "Special ones" here in Germany? Anything special I should look for? Of course if there are special ones out there, I would offer them to you guys in the Forum first. Thanks, TC
