Question for Duke and TC in Germany (archive)

Guys, I think it was Duke who mentioned that he was able to bring over a Euro car and get it federalized easier through military channels. How can this be done? I absolutely love the Euro E21 3 series, Euro E28 5ers - especially the M535i or Euro M5. Is it easier to federalize an older car which might just get classic tags on it? Hell, even if the car was just used for track use it might be worthwhile.

Any info on this?
