Let me just say as someone who has been in your situation... My fiancee (now wife) drove a Civic EX that was a great little car. The time came to get a car for us that would be all fun without concern for people and stuff hauling capability - that's what the E28 is for. The Miata got the nod, and we just couldn't be happier. I'd love to have a sweet 944 of any flavor, but the upkeep is just too much. My email address ain't "e28fixer" for nothing. I just don't need another expensive and continual project on my hands. Check out www.miata.net and get hooked on the most popular (most sold) sports car of all time.Scott Buchanan
E28 and MX5 (a great combination)
Happy New Year everybody!
The girlfriend and I have been kickin' around the idea of what her next car should be. Currently she has a '91 Civic si hatchback. It is a fantastic car with a few performance mods. (Suspension, intake, exhaust, wheels & tires, ...)
She has narrowed the list down to a Miata or a Porsche 944. The years vary from anywhere in the late 1980's for the Porsche to the late 90's for the Miata.
At this time, there is really no set ceiling for cost but I am hoping to see what input anybody has with either of these 2 cars.
Thanks,
Darin S.
