E28 is lighter and *probably* less prone to repair/maintenance. It seems like the E34s have a few more glitches, but I could be wrong. Either way, both engines are very good and should last you 300,000 + miles if you take care of them.

E34 is ~400 lbs heavier, but also a stiffer body and more aerodynamic.

Personally, I think the E28 is sportier - maybe because it is lighter, maybe because it feels smaller, maybe because I like the sport seats in the E28...

The E34 feels very solid, though. Doesn't lean in the corners as much.

Just pick the one that your gut tells you to, if you take care of it, you can always sell it and try the other! Better yet, go drive each one for an extended test drive.

Ok, I'm looking at buying either an E28 or E34. Can't decide, what do you guys think. Anyone have anything to make me lean towards one more than the other?
