"Everyone" says the 944 is an amazing handling car. The head driving instructor for PCA around here drives one, in fact. They can be expensive to own, though, which is why I haven't bought one yet.

Grassroots Motorsports did a 944 project car. Check it out here.

My dad has a '96 Miata M edition. He loves it and it's been nearly trouble free (minor radio problems, I think) for the 3 years he's owned it.
